The story follows Rahayu (played by Tissa Biani), a young woman who moves to a remote village in East Java to live with her father after a traumatic event. Her father, a religious teacher, is possessed by a terrifying entity named Khanzab . Unlike typical jump-scare demons, Khanzab is a low-level but horrifying demon whose sole purpose is to whisper distractions (was-was) during Muslim prayers (salat).
