The Hangover Part III breaks the formula. There is no wedding, no bachelor party, and no amnesia. Instead, the film opens with a prison escape. After the death of Alan’s father, the Wolfpack (Phil, Stu, Doug, and Alan) stage an intervention. But during a road trip to rehab, they are intercepted by a ruthless gangster named Marshall (John Goodman), who blames Leslie Chow for stealing $21 million in gold bars.
