Inkjet printers have a sponge/pad that collects ink during cleaning cycles. The printer tracks absorbed ink volume. After ~5000–15000 cleanings, it locks down to prevent overflow. Epson expects you to replace the pads (or install a waste ink tank) before resetting. Models Covered: L380, L383, L385, L485 These are EcoTank all-in-one ink tank printers (print, scan, copy). They share similar firmware and reset procedures. The file l380l383l385l485.rar typically contains the adjustment program for these four models.
