(Note: Devo’s next studio album after this was Something for Everybody in 2010, outside our range). Smooth Noodle Maps is the band’s "lost" album. The FLAC rip of the CD master (circa 1999 reissue) reveals a warm, analog tape saturation. "Stuck in a Loop" is a meta-commentary on the music industry; the piano and guitar interplay is delicate. "Devo Has Feelings Too" requires FLAC to capture the vulnerability in the vocal fry.
